I have a secret- a secret salsa! Wait, if I tell you the secret it wouldn’t be a secret anymore ha ha! Na, it’s not really a secret it’s just how I make salsa. I make it different each time so, if you’d like to know more keep on readin!
I mostly eyeball everything so it’s up to you how you want to make this.
2 cans (14oz) of diced tomatoes. Home canned is even better!
Half of a medium white onion chopped
Pickled jalapenos to taste. Fresh is better here as well.
Tablespoon of cumin
Teaspoon of chili powder
Teaspoon of paprika
Teaspoon of garlic powder
Tablespoon or so of dried cilantro (I don’t use fresh enough before it goes bad)
1/2 Teaspoon of Dried Oregano
Black Pepper (I don’t use salt because of the already salty tortilla chips)
In a blender, pour in the tomatoes first then the rest of the ingredients. Pulse 3 -5 times depending on how thin you like your salsa.
Serve in a bowl of your choice along with some tortilla chips or in the words of my husband tortiLLa chips, sounding out the L’s!
